The Time is Now

Our travel plans have finally come into fruition! A little less than a year ago, Laurie and I have been planning to travel the world, and in just a few weeks we’ll be flying out to our first country–Japan! We’ll be documenting everything through blogging, podcasting, and super cool pictures that’ll hopefully inspire you to do the same.

Now, I know there are plenty of blogs out there that already cover modern day youth traveling to other countries, experiencing different cultures/people, and meeting other fellow travelers. Don’t get me wrong, before Laurie and I met, we had both been on this band wagon before with travel journeys of our own, but we’ve been itching to hop back on–and this time, we’re doing it together.

Our mission is to show traveling in a different light, in that, along with our adventures and shenanigans, we’ll focus on the little things it takes for an extensive journey; saving money, ways to make money while abroad, visas, do’s and don’ts, traveling with a partner, and whatever else it’ll take for a righteous experience! Although we’ve had some awesome traveling journeys under our belt, traveling abroad for at least a few years will be a whole new experience; especially with a partner in crime.

We’ll be keeping you posted with updates on our trip, and any information that’ll be helpful if you’re considering to do the same. And if you are questioning travel, or maybe curious about getting out of the country–please, please, please consider it! As I am typing this from Ohio (visiting Laurie’s family before our big move), and with both of us being unemployed for the past few weeks (we have worked the 9-5 grind, so we understand) it’s all becoming a reality, and frankly, we’re about done with what was once our complacent lives. The minute hand passes as it waves goodbye to the calling horizon beyond these walls.

And remember, this is a communal affair so please feel free to leave any advice, questions, tips, or whether you’ve tried this or that. Anything helps! You can look at it as if we’re all doing this together.

There’s a big beautiful, yet fragile, planet so let’s see what it takes to get out there and explore it, one bold breath at a time. Our main objective? Simple: have new adventures, while meeting awesome people along the way, and to share every bit of it.

We are so excited for you both. Have fun. Maybe when we retire, or if Gecko Pro makes us millionaires, we will join you. (Let a girl dream, ok!)

Safe travels to both of you Donald. I know your going to have the time of your life. You have certainly picked the right time in your life to do this ( while you young! ) Not everyone has the B@(($ to drop everything and reach for their dreams. Good luck to you. Be safe, and don’t miss a thing. I’ll be keeping track of you!!! :):):)

My thoughts and prayers are with you both for a safe and rewarding experience. Glad you have always had the attitude to take a mishap (Taipei Airport) and turn it into an unplanned opportunity. Enjoy.
